Coaching
plan, period 3 - 2009.
The plan is for Thursday and Sunday coaching for
the period of 1 May to 4 July
Advanced Group:
Objective: Improve gameplay, peak for major goals.
We shall work on peaking our form for the Queensland Junior Championships
and the Australian Championships. Technically we will have to keep
on working on the recovery after the strokes, footwork both sideways
and in depth, plus loop with curve and loop against loop, - and
improve our serves and returns. The intensity shall be getting even
higher, and we need to work with the correct attitude (positive
and aggressive) during our matches, plus how to make, use and adjust
a gameplan. The exercises at the table will be mostly irregular
during the period, with matchlike exercises. You shall use your
own strokes/style by adapting the exercises to your style of play.
Again: Remember: Be in time, be prepared to work hard.
App. schedule for Sunday sessions (10.00-12.30):
- Warm-up beside table 10 min
- Warm-up at table 10 min
- Irregular exercises with partner 30 min
- Irregular exercises with multiball 30 min
- Machtlike with partner 15 min
- Break 10 min
- Matchplay 30 min
- Physical work-out (in venue, included stretching) 15 min
App. schedule for Thursday sessions (6.30-8.30):

B:
Objective: Improve strokes and footwork.
We will continue to improve the strokes, and keep on to work on
the starting position, body-posture and hand-grip. We will still
work hard to improve our footwork and we shall also improve our
serves and returns. The intensity will have to improve during this
period.
Remember: Be in time, be prepared to work hard. Concentrate.
