Coaching plan 1- 2009

Coaching plan, period 1 - 2009.
The plan is for Thursdays and Sundays coaching for
the period of 18. January to 22 February.

Advanced Group:
Objective: Refresh/improve strokes, improve rhythm and speed.
We shall sharpen up our basic strokes, work to improve the recovery after the strokes, improve footwork both sideways and in depth. The intensity shall be getting quite high during the period. The controlled exercises at the table will get more irregular during the period.
Most of the time you shall use your own strokes/style by adapting the exercises to your style of play.
Players will also use the robot.
Remember: Be in time, be prepared to work hard.
App. schedule for Sunday sessions (1.00-3.30):
- Warm-up beside table 10 min
- Warm-up at table 10 min
- Control/rhythm/footwork with partner 30 min
- Control/rhythm/footwork multiball 30 min
- Controlled machtlike with partner 15 min
- Break 10 min
- Matchplay 30 min
- Physical work-out (in venue, included stretching) 15 min

- Warm-up at table 10 min
- Control/rhythm/footwork with partner 30 min
- Break 5 min
- Control/rhythm/footwork multiball 30 min
- Machtlike 25 min
- Physical work-out (in venue, included stretching) 10 min

Intermediate A:
Objective: Improve strokes, rhythm and speed. Find our weapons.
The younger players will continue to improve their strokes, and it is getting important to find your own style and major weapons. Even the basic skills like starting position, body-posture and hand-grip can be improved. We shall also improve the recovery after the strokes and improve footwork both sideways and in depth. In the middle of the period we will start to develop usable serves and good returns. The intensity shall improve quite a lot during the period.
Remember: Be in time, be prepared to work hard. Concentrate.

- Warm-up at table 10 min
- Control/rhythm/footwork with partner 30 min
- Break 5 min
- Control/rhythm/footwork multiball 30 min
- Machtlike 25 min
- Physical work-out (in venue, included stretching) 10 min

Intermediate B:
Objective: Improve strokes and footwork.
We will continue to improve the strokes, and also look into the starting position, body-posture and hand-grip. We will work hard to improve the footwork (mostly sideways). In the middle of the period we will start to develop usable serves and good returns. The intensity shall improve quite a lot during the period.
Remember: Be in time, be prepared to work hard. Concentrate.
Goal for the period: 75 forehand counter-hit across the net without missing, 30 backhand without missing.
