TERJE "TERRY" DAHL

- THE NORWEGIAN YACHTSMAN AND CLIMATE REFUGEE
Emma, Sonia og Terje in paradise
I sailed single-handed from Norway to the Pacific in a 22-feet yacht. Unfortunately Coco Loco was damaged beyond repair in the Solomon Islands - after four years of incredible adventures. I returned to the Pacific after a few freezing months in Norway, by plane this time, and got married to Emma Toematagi in the Polynesian country of Tuvalu. We built our home on an uninhabited coral-island and lived a happy, modern Robinson Crusoe-life until a climate-change with hurricanes forced us away, six years later.

Coco Loco is the smallest Norwegian yacht to sail out to circumnavigate the world. 22 feet long, a Swedish-built Maxi 68. My only experience with sailing was in a small dinghy when I was about ten! Click

THE WORLD OUTSIDE
"-What was that, Frankie? Gunfire? Bruno
put down the beer and looked surprised at his friend.
- Ah, just the regular crap on the news, the cops putting away some of those blasted `truders, Frankie mumbled uninterested without turning his head, his eyes were glued to the topless waitress while his fat fingers were playing with some coins on..."
