Istid |
"Ice Age" is a collection of songs I made from 1968 to 1979. "The waves against the beach" was my very first song, while "Silver Paper" was the biggest hit when my sister Tone and I played and sang. |
Lost Property |
"Lost Property" is a collection of songs I made when I visited the island of Pohnpei (Ponape) in Micronesia in my small yacht Coco Loco in 1986. |
Sa tofa mai! | "So tofa may! " is in Tuvaluan language and the meaning is "Don't say goodbye!" I translated some old English pop songs by the help of Emma and turned them into a kind of reggae style. |
Songs on Youtube (I am singing): | |
Chocolate Paper | "Chocolate Paper" is the English version of "Silver Paper", converted into reggae Christmas 2007/8. |
"Nå går det bra...eller?" | ""Everything is allright ...or?" This is my somewhat crazy, humorous music video about climate change. Originally "Ça plane pour moi". |
Paradiset jeg fant (Tama faga) | I am singing live on the very popular TV-program Seinsveip, with a South Sea choir of table tennis players! The Tuvaluan refrain is made by my mother-in-law Fakalei - the rest by me. |
A few other songs: | |
"En dag av gangen" |
The song is inspired by the story of a friend of mine who picked up two girls that hitch-hiked - and ended up getting HIV. Medication managed to kill the virus and he is now disease-free. Made in 2002. |
"Blowin'
away" |
One quite recent songs that it could be fun to do something about, - I thought it has a kind of special mood. Recorded by the help of Yamaha PSS-796 and Tascam Porta 5, on our island Motuloa in the Pacific. |
"Leker'n-sangen" |
When I took little Olav to a kindergarten called Leker'n at Lambertseter then we sang. We made our own song while we strolled along, and finally I ecorded it to the PC. Daughter Sonia helps out as a children's choir. The only kindergarten in Oslo with its own song? |
"Nye
skalder " |
I
so happened that my friends Torkild , Tommy and I visited a folk song club
in Oslo called Nye Skalder (New Poets). Torkild and I joked that we had
to practice and then sing there. Torkild moved to another city, but I quickly
made a song and turned up alone. What you can hear is an acoustic recording straight into my PC. |
New
song: "Lonely Man Blues" |
I just happened to discover that there is something called Blues Bash in Townsville where I now live. I spoke to the leader of the band and asked if it was okay that I made a song for the next blues session. He said ok. I got the name to the song on my way home. And recorded it in full speed with the help of a laptop! |
You will find the lyrics at the bottom of this page! |

Farvel!" |

translated by me with the help of Emma.) |
"Det Siste Paradis" |

Månen
lyser på lagunen. (43k) |
"The moon is shining on the lagoon". Written in 1992, an instrumental. Originally it was made with my Yamaha PSS-795 keyboard, and it might have sounded be better than this, where I have used an early version of Band-in-a-Box. |
