Was Jesus a descendant of the ancient giants?
The Christian Bible says that the sons of God came to the
daughters of man and that they bore children to them, and
that these children were giants. The gospels also tell that
Jesus was a son of God, so might be Jesus was from the same
bloodline of ancient giants?
Christians
all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus every Christmas
- even if some people seems to be more interested in expensive
presents, good food, parties and a long holiday than the scriptures.
All Christians believe that Jesus
was the son of their God, and that he came to Earth as a real
person to save us sinning humans by being crucified on the
cross.
Some
believe that Jesus was a prophet like Mohammad of the Islam
religion,

while
others do believe that the story of Jesus is pure fiction.
Well, the majority of modern scholars of antiquity believe
that Jesus existed.
Be aware that the word used in
the original bible-scriptures was (of course) not the English
word "God" but the Hebrew word "Elohim".
Well, "Elohim" is the plural form of the word "El".
So the God of Genesis was one of many gods, in fact; there
are 34 of them mentioned in the Bible! The re-interpretation
took place in the 7th to 6th century BC during the so called
"one-god
ideology"; the gods became to one God.
Tribe of Dan
So who was Jesus - and why is he called Jesus Christ? Well,
in the beginning Jesus was usually referred to as as "Jesus
of Nazareth" or "Jesus, the son of Joseph".
 |
Map
with Nazareth
|
In
Luke's Gospel, Nazareth is first described as "a town
of Galilee" and the home of Mary - Jesus mother.
Today Nazareth is the largest city in the northern part of
Israel and it is built alongside old Nazareth.
Mary was acording to the Torah from
the tribe
of Dan. This tribe shall have consisted of the descendants
of Dan, a son of Jacob and Bilhah.
Bilhah was the handmaid of Jacob's
wife Rachel. Scholars see this as indicating that the authors
saw Dan as being not of entirely Israelite origin; being descendants
of handmaids rather than of full wives. The territory of the
handmaid tribes of ancient Israel was the territory closest
to the north and eastern borders of Canaan. However; other
tribes born to wives were also of the eastern outskirts adjacent
to Israel's traditional enemies.
Jacob, Dan's father, is regarded as
a Patriarch of the Israelites. Jacob was according to the
Book of Genesis the third ancestor in the direct line with
whom God made a covenant. He was the son of Isaac and Rebecca,
and the grandson of Abraham.
 |
Enoch
|
Abraham
was according to the scriptures called by God to leave the
house of his father Terah, who then shall have lived in Haran
(believed to be what today is the village of Sanliurfa in
Turkey). and settle in the land originally given to Canaan.
Terah's father was Nahor, son of Serug, a descendant of Shem.
Shem was one of the sons of Noah;
the tenth and last of the pre-flood Patriarchs. Noah was the
son of Lamech - an eighth generation descendant of Adam (Genesis
5:25), the son of Methuselah. Methuselah was the son
of Enoch. Enoch was the son of Jared, who according to the
Book of Genesis, was a sixth-generation descendant of Adam
and Eve (Jareds father was Mahalalel, a son of Kenan, who
was the son of Enos, the son of Seth who was the son of Adam).
So it seems, after what we know from
the old scriptures, that we can trace Mary's line all the
way back to Adam and Eve. And as we
have read: Adam was made in the image and likeness of the
Gods. And the gods and their descendants were tall - they
were giants!
Joseph the Carpenter
So what about Josep the Carpenter - who was engaged to
Mary and was present when Jesus was born? The texts say that
Joseph had four sons (Judas, Justus, James, and Simon) and
two daughters (Assia and Lydia) by a previous marriage. And
that he had childen with Mary after Jesus was born: Joseph,
James, Jude, and Simon. These were Jesus' half-brothers, since
Jesus was "conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit."
(Matthew
1:20).

David
and Goliath
|
We
do not know much about Josephs life before he got enganged
to Mary. He is said to have "sprung from a family of
Bethlehem, a town of Judah, and the city of King David."
His family should have come from the David's family in both
genealogies. David was the famous king who as a youngster
killed Goliath the giant. What most people do not know is
that David was
tall himself (and had red/golden hair).
Some texts states that Joseph was
blessed with a mental and physical youth, and that he died
at the age of 111 - when the angel of death, as well as the
archangels Michael and Gabriel, appear to him. Josepth was
also a prist and it is written that he became a widower when
Mary was twelve years old. And that they became enganged when
she was between 12-14 years old. So Joseph was at that time
about 90 years old. Some scriptures say that Mary was 13 when
the angel Gabriel appeared before her, and 14 at the time
of giving birth to Jesus.
What Gabriel said
This
is what Gabriel said
to Joseph: "Joseph, son of David, fear not to take Mary
as your wife: for she has conceived of the Holy Spirit; and
she will bring forth a son, whose name shall be called Jesus.
He it is who shall rule all nations with a rod of iron."
The angel Gabriel also visited Mary's
house and he said to her: "You are favored by the Lord!
The Lord is with you. Don't be afraid, Mary. You have found
favor with God. You will become pregnant, give birth to a
son, and name him Jesus".
Mary asked the angel:"How can
this be? I'm a virgin."
The angel answered her, "The
Holy Spirit will come to you, and the power of the Most High
will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy child developing
inside you will be called the Son of God".
Well, the modern translation is
not correct - the original words for "the Son of God"
were "Ben-Elohim" - and as I have mentioned before:
Elohim is a word in plural. So what Gabriel said to Mary is:
"Therefore, the holy child developing inside you will
be called the Son of the Gods".

Jesus
is born
So Jesus is born. But we do not know much about him as
a child before he is twelve years old and stays behind in
the temple of Jerusalem when his parents travel back to their
village. Mary and Joseph return to Jerusalem to look for him
and find him in the tempel amongst the teachers; listening
to them and asking questions. And explained to his worried
parents that they should have understood he was in his Father's
house.
Next time we hear about Jesus and
the temple in Jerusalem is when he is an adult and found that
the people were selling sheep, cattle and doves at the temple
grounds and that money changers were sitting at the tables.
Jesus got furious. He made a whip of cord and drove the animals
out. He also poured out the coins of the money changers and
overturned the tables.
Well, how come Jesus was able to do
this? Would not the owners of the animals stop him? Would
not the temple guards have chased him out? Why were they afraid
of him? Might be Jesus was a very strong and tall person.
Might be he was looking different to the ordinary people?

The letter about Jesus
|
He
is tall
The "Archko
Volume" has official court documents from the
days of Jesus and here we can read: "He is the picture
of his mother, only he has not her smooth, round face. His
hair is a little more golden than hers, though it is as much
from sunburn as anything else. He is tall, and his shoulders
are a little drooped; his visage is thin and of a swarthy
complexion, though this is from exposure. His eyes are large
and a soft blue, and rather dull and heavy".
In a letter from the roman consul named
Lentulus to the roman emperor Tiberius who reigned from 14
to 37 AD Jesus is described as having fair, wavy hair, black
eyebrows, blue eyes, a long nose and a short, blond beard.
Tall as a mountain
We have seen that Jesus seems to have been tall, but how tall
was he? The Gospel of Peter says that Jesus after his crucifixion
comes out of the tomb as tall as a mountain, supported by
two angles, nearly as tall themselves.
Well, in another
article I am asking if the Christian god could have
been an ancient human giant. Or rather giants in plural because
there were originally not only one god in the scriptures but
many! And yes; the angels were also described as giants! So
might be the angel Gabriel was Jesus' father?

Shroud of Turin

The
shroud of Turin
Another source for a description of Jesus is the so-called
"Shroud
of Turin". This peace of cloth, measuring approximately
4.4 by 1.1 metres (14 ft 5 in × 3 ft 7 in), is believed
by many to be the shroud that Jesus was covered with after
his crucifixion. The imprint on the shroud shows a man of
a hight between 1.70 to 1.88 m (5 ft 7 in to 6 ft 2 in). Most
scholars agree on a hight of 1.83 m (6 feet).

James burial box
|
James
ossoary
An ossuary is a stone box for storing bones of the dead, also
called a burial box. An ossuary, from the 1st century, is
said to be that or James - one of Jesus brothers. The inscription
on the box read: "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus"
(Aramaic: "Ya'akov bar-Yosef akhui diYeshua"). The
authenticity of the inscription has been questioned but if
it is genuine this might be archaeological evidence that Jesus
was a historical person. The mentioning of a brother would
also mean that the brother was well-known.
James, James
the Just, was the person that became the founder of
Christianity.

The
angel Gabriel
|
The
Holy Spirit
In the Biblical scriptures we can read that Mary was "conceived
by the Holy Spirit".
Well, in Islam, the Holy
Spirit was the angel Gabriel. So might be she not
was impregnated by a theological spirit but by a physical
being - one of the tall angels that walked on earth?
Gabriel was "the tall, bright
angel ". He is said to have been about 2.20 m, 7'2",
tall and have gold-blond hair. An old drawing shows him as
having an elongated back-head. No wonder that Mary was afraid!

Elisabeth
Elizabeth was "of the daughters of Aaron" (Luke
1:5) and she was the mother of John the Baptist (who
baptized Jesus). She and her husband Zechariah were "righteous
before God" (1:6-7),
but childless. Zechariah was visited by Gabriel, and the angel
said to him: "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer
has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and
you are to call him John."
When the days of Zechariah's ministry were complete, he returned
to his house (Luke
1:16-23). Elizabeth became pregnant and for five months
remained in seclusion.
Five months? Hmm, might be Gabriel
did more that just visit Zechariah..?!
Secret
If the angel Gabriel had impregnated Elisabeth and Mary, then
he definitely had to tell them strongly to keep it a secret
because the Lord had said that the angels that had cohabited
with the daughters of man should be punished: Like Azazyel
who was thrown stones upon and cast into darkness in the desert
to remain there for ever.
If the giant Gabriel was Jesus' father
it
would not be surprising if Jesus was taller than normal and
had gold-blond hair. And also not a big surprise that Gabriel
could foretell John
the Baptist's birth -

John
was the son that the childless Elisabeth begot after the visit
by Gabriel! And also no wonder that Jesus is said to have
been baptised by John - his older half-brother!
When Jesus was baptised by John
in the river Jordan it is written that the Holy Spirit descends
and a voice says: "You are my Son, the Beloved; with
you I am well pleased" (Mark
1:1-8). So the giant Gabriel, the Holy Spirit, was
pleased with the result of his visit to Mary?!
Son of the Gods
So what did Jesus himself say? Did he claim that he was
God's son? Well, in most
Bibles you can read this (Luke
22:70): "They all asked, "Are you then the
Son of God?" He replied, "You say that I am."
Well, this is wrong! The translation
is not correct! What they said was: "Are you then the
son of the Gods?" - "Are You then Ben-Elohim?".
Elohim is as earlier explained in plural - it means "gods"!
So Jesus replied that they said that he was the son of the
gods!
You will find the same in Ugaritic and Phoenician texts.

El

|
Many
gods
Yes, there were many gods in Mesopotamia in the very old
days, you might not be aware that the Bible names no less
than 34 gods!
The major god was El, also called
the "El of the Mountain", and he was often depicted
as a bearded man. He was living on Mount
Zaphon; sometimes accounted as the home of all the
gods.
The tall gods that you find in ancient
scriptures and legends over the world most often lived up
on a mountain (like the Greek gods on Mount
Olympus). These gods very often also became the rulers/kings
of the countries, - might be because they were so tall and
strong?
Might be they were the survivors
of a world wide catastrophe like a flood as the legends so
often tell, - and might be they survived because they managed
to flee up to the mountains?

Jesus

|
 |
|
Or
Scandinavian?
|
|
Dark-skinned
Jew?
A question is of course how tall Jesus really was - and
how he looked. If he was 6 feet high many people ask if he
should have been described as a very tall, not only tall?
And if he was blue eyed and blond might be this would have
been emphasized more?
Myself I have always believed that
the paintings of Jesus in European churches was because they
did not want to present Jesus as the somewhat dark-skinned
Jew he should have been, but I have now learned that he in
fact might have been looking more like a Scandinavian!
Or rather; like the Scandinavian Viking kings that Thor
Heyerdahl (and the kings themselves) said
had descended from tall chiefs that lived close to the Caucasus
mountains. And has now been proven
right by DNA-testing!
Christ
Myth theory
There are people claming that Jesus did not exist - that
it is just a myth. This Christ
Myth theory contradicts the mainstream historical
view: That a person called Jesus lived in 1st century Palestine,
and that he was baptised by John the Baptist and crucified
by the order of Pontius Pilate.
Did Jesus die at the cross?
Did Jesus did at the cross? Some biblical
scholars have claimed that Jesus did not die at the
cross but fainted and was resuscitated.
The documentary The Lost
Tomb of Jesus (2007) says that there is evidence that
Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene and that they had a son
named Judah.
The Mormons
believe that Jesus after his death and ascension to heaven
visited the Americas: A devine manifestation which include
"Heavenly narration and accompanying angels and glowing
figures descending from the sky."

Cannot
go back in time
We cannot go back in time. We will never be sure if Jesus
has lived; and if he had blue eyes or blond eyes - if he was
short or tall. But we must be allowed to ask what made Jesus
so special according to scriptures and legends. Something
made people listen to Jesus, even when he was a little child.
This would of course have been quite natural if he was looking
very different, but in a pleasant way, to common people. But
was he very tall? Well, at that time in history it seems like
it was not so special that some people were very tall, Remember
Goliath? He was one of the last giants, the Anakim, and shall
have been about 3,60 meters (12 feet) tall. Another giant
was Og. He was the king of the Amorites, descendants of Canaan,
son of Ham (son of Noah). They are described as a powerful
people of great stature, "like the height of the cedars
(Amos
2:9)", who had occupied the land east and west
of the river Jordan.
So if Jesus descended from a bloodline
of what we can call giants, - might be it was not so strange
if he himself was taller than most people?

I am not sure what to make of it because its totally
outside of the teachings of the Bible. The word of God
teaches that the God head is made up of the Father the
Son and the Holy Spirit these three are seperate being
but are called God in the plural sense. The Son is Jesus
and Scripture tells us that all things were created
by him. Gabriel was an angel and angels cannot mate
with humans. Michael is another name for Jesus just
like I Am was refering to Jesus at the burning bush.
Jesus may have been quite tall but he took on humanity
and clothed His devinity He was God all the time. I
can see you have tried to put this together from a different
perspective than what a student od Scripture would and
its true the linage that Jesus as a man came through
were giants but as time went by they degenerated.

The Bible describes many individuals as giants, and
it also mentions several giant people groups. Interpreters
